HVAC : A Brief Introduction

HVAC-

It stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

Definition

HVAC can be generally referred to the system used for moving air among the indoor as well as outdoor areas covering the heating as well as cooling both of residential and commercial buildings.

It is a system that keeps you warm as well as cosy in the winter also helps you to feel cool and stay fresh in the summer. They are also a great help to filter and clean the indoor air so as to keep you healthy and also maintain humidity levels at a very comfort level.

Purpose-

The main purpose of HVAC system can be said to be more than just warming or cooling a place. It serves as a great help in improving the indoor air quality and providing a comfort for everyone who are inside the building.

“Carefulness costs you nothing. Carelessness may cost you your life.”

Basics-

First of all a source of fresh air intake is present which is called ventilation as the exchange of air is essential to build up oxygen and to remove odours, Co2.

Once the air comes in then it is drawn into an air handling unit where the the working begins(drawing of air using filters for removal of dirt)

HVAC Requirements in Industry-

They are essential as they help in

  • Improving air quality: the system plays an important role in improving  the air quality as it can impede the airflow levels and dust collection ensure that the quality of air is improved also it contains the air flow passage which is designed in order to keep pace with the air volume requirements.
  • Provides a good help to employees:  these system depend on ductwork so as to carry the industrial dust from machine to the collection system where are the large ductwork can give space to these industrial applications so as to deliver consistent air quality to the  employees.
  • Delivers maximum performance: these systems are often  specialised with feature galvanized or rolled steel constructions also are stainless in order to deliver the maximum performance output in the industrial environment as they need  properly designed and installed components so as to match the regulatory air quality standards and also they prove to be a great help in minimising the the system maintenance requirements.
