Centralized air conditioning is an air conditioning system that cools air throughout the home or any enclosed space from a central location by duck work or thermostat (like fan).
- Process of action:
Once warm air inside the enclosed space Blows across the indoor evaporator coil, its heat energy transferred to the refrigerant inside the coil then transferred in turns ‘cools’ the air .The refrigerant is pumped back to compression where the cycle begins again. The heat absorbed by the refrigerant is moved outside while cooled air is blown inside.
- Type of centralized air conditioning system:
There are two types of central air conditioner like a split system and a packaged unit . In a split system central air conditioner an outdoor metal cabinet contains the Condenser and compressor and an indoor cabinet contains the evaporator. Furnace or air handler is also present in many indoor cabinets which gives smoother flow of air and also best for cool climate. In case of Packaged central air conditioner the evaporator ,condenser and the compressor are all located in one cabinet .

1 .Quiet environment :The central air conditioner makes a very soft humming sound as the compressor is located outside which is ideal to create peace and quiet indoor climate in contrast to the window unit.
2 .Clean air :This system uses filters to eliminate pollen, dust from the air which improves the quality of the air food energy efficiency as central air.
3 . Energy efficiency : A central conditioner is able to cool multiple rooms or large spaces at a time hence uses very less electricity than multiple stand one units. We can also control the system remotely so it’s easy to access the temperature by programming the thermostat while nobody is at the place which in turn saves energy.
4 . Space saver : It’s indoor unit only needs a small open area inside the house while its outdoor unit consumes some real estate too but we can hide that with the fence.
5 . Flexibility : A central air conditioner able to cool the entire space but we can close AC vent in unoccupied areas to cool only the used area as a result we can run the unit more efficiently which in turn reduces long-term HVAC repair cost.
So ,overall we can say centralized air conditioning is a system which offers the most convenient and cost effective way to cool and dehumidify any space.
